Craps Rules

Actual craps rules, including betting rules, will vary depending on where you are playing and who you are playing with. The main basic craps rules are always the same, though. Craps is a game where one or more players try to win using two dice. While one person can play alone, it takes more than one player for any betting to take place. On the first roll, if the dice show a 7 or 11, the roller (also known as the shooter) wins. If they come up with a 2, 3, or 12 on this first roll, the shooter loses the bet, the turn and the dice. If the first roll is a result of any other number, however, the shooter must keep rolling trying to roll that number again before rolling a 7. If they accomplish this, they win and begin again. If, however, a 7 is rolled first, according to craps rules the turn is over and the bet is lost for that person.

These are the most basic rules for craps, and typically, no matter where you play, these rules will not change. However, there are some rules of craps, in addition to the above basics, that might vary some. Some of the craps game rules that might change include betting possibilities. In casino craps rules, for example, you are allowed to bet on others’ rolls. You can bet on specific numbers you think they will roll, as well as riding their rolls out and betting on them to win. This may not be the case if you are playing craps with friends or at a party, however. It is always important to know the craps rules in advance of playing the game, otherwise you could lose money or get thrown out of the game.

Even with its variances, craps rules are usually easy to remember. If you are familiar with the main craps rule of the game, which is the basic playing concept, you can usually watch a game for a few minutes and figure out what is allowed and what isn’t. In craps, street rules are typically determined by whoever is running the game, much as the dealer is in charge when played in a casino. By following the rules of street craps, even if the rules are unlike those you have normally played, you can avoid trouble. And, you may find that a certain game with its craps rules is more fun than the game you played with a different set of craps rules. Whatever the rules, craps can be a fun way to play and make money.
